About Us





Chief Michael J. Bramhall (Retired) has been involved in preparing candidates for all ranks of Law Enforcement for over 25 years.


Hired by the West Caldwell Police Department in 1988, he served in patrol for 10 years.


He was promoted to Sergeant in 1999, Lieutenant in 2000, Captain in 2003 and Chief in 2009.


From 2015-2016, and 2018-2021, Chief Bramhall was the Training Coordinator for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.


From 2021-2024, Chief Bramhall was the Police Director for the Fanwood Police Department in Union County.


Chief Bramhall is a past President of the Essex County Chiefs of Police Association.
